Major publishers sue Google over alleged AI training on copyrighted works
Hachette, Cengage, Elsevier and other publishers have filed a lawsuit claiming Google trained its AI using copyrighted materials without obtaining permissions. The plaintiffs allege widespread unauthorized use of their works in Google's training datasets.
