China’s top court issues AI guidance on deepfakes, privacy and liability
The Supreme People’s Court published a 24-article opinion guiding judges on civil disputes involving AI, addressing deepfakes, voice cloning, hallucinations and personal-rights violations. The guidance expands China’s legal framework for AI in the absence of a dedicated national AI law, according to SCMP.
